Disco at the casbah

It sounds like Mardi Gras in the streets
Chanting, beautiful, harmonious melodies
Many voices in unison
Drum beats loud like hearts crying for joy
If you listen carefully you can hear shouting and laughter
It is Ramadan
The celebration of the divine gift that was bestowed upon a man
A man from a land of caravans, spices, and a black rock that came blasting from the sky
Thirty days of remembrance with a parched throat and a belly full of desires
Just thirty days out of 365 to ponder this crazy thing called life, love, and belief.
